Interiors, Custom Furniture and Lighting

To preserve and refurbish one of the last great residences in the heart of Bangkok into a dynamic hospitality venue, the design team took inspiration from aspects of Thai history as well as the mystical otherworldly mistress who is said to still have a constant presence in the building.  Throughout the space, this is contrasted with the inclusion of modern furnishings and art features which breathe new life into this landmark. The ground floor bar pulls design cues from the Royal Thai uniform and costuming including a military medal art feature that helps to create a layered and luxurious space.  The dining room features a dramatic outdoor courtyard whose landscaping is inspired by the mistress’ love for the Chinese Rice flower creating an enveloping green canopy for diners.  The dining room also features a large scale tapestry woven by local artisans.  Upstairs, two lounges, one with an emerald color palate and the other ruby, flank a mirrored central bar highlighted by beveled smoked mirrors and etched glowing lighting punctuating the bars surface.
