About

Designed as a haven, respite and gathering place for urban explorers, the new Arlo brand was conceptualized and designed by Brand Bureau, and the hotel interiors were designed by its sister firm AvroKO.

Each Arlo hotel boasts a multitude of public spaces – including a music room where guests can explore tunes from a variety of eras and genres – which are built to accommodate a flurry of activities throughout the day. Guests can socialize and relax, work and meet, or dine and drink in the common spaces, connecting with other guests. The compact, efficient, and carefully-considered guest room designs feature warm, high-touch materials and clever elements like fold-down desks and closets with adjustable hanging pegs, which anticipate the needs of guests.

A community-driven micro-hotel

The design is based on travel and exploration, adventure, and self-expression. Generous public spaces, arranged around a courtyard, allow guests to mingle with each other and mix with locals from the surrounding neighborhood for a truly immersive stay. Guests can retreat from these lively social spaces to thoughtfully designed efficient rooms which provide all the comforts for a stay in the city.

Clever and Compact

Thoughtfully-designed, efficient rooms

Carefully designed custom millwork pieces offer versatile rooms where work, sleep and live can coincide. The Jefferson bed allows guests to choose the orientation of their sleep, offering a framed view of the Manhattan skyline. A fold-down desk, a peg-board closet and an in-room vanity make it a convenient pied-à-terre in the city.

Just off the lobby is a small bar that faces onto the courtyard. By day, the communal tables with custom reading lights make a great place to enjoy a coffee, work on laptops, or have informal meetings.
