Following in the same spirit as its sister clubhouses in New York and Los Angeles (both by AvroKO), Chief Chicago is a modern pied-a-terre meant to serve as a third space for women to find supportive connection and empowerment.

A mix of design forward and vintage furniture pieces evoke a worldly aesthetic, while the expression of the existing architectural wood beam structure is celebrated with workshop detailing in millwork and cabinetry details. Art features emphasize this thriving workshop atmosphere with bold canvasses laid out in the space as if in mid-process.

Quintessential Chicago

Capturing the spirit of Fulton Market warehouses, the design of the space exposes timber beams and columns and saturates the rest of the envelope in Chief’s signature green. Layers of decorative lighting and a program of women artists bring the residential feel so quintessential in Chief's signature Pied-a-Terre concept alive.

The lounge serves as a gathering place for intimate groups as well as a larger home to discussions, workshops and presentations within the Chief community. Ebony-stained wood floors allow the rich worn leathers, vintage fabrics and bold velvets of the furniture to stand out. Large area rugs frame more intimate seating areas and help soften the architecture of the space. The focal point of the lounge is the dramatic bar, with a glittering antique mirror-tiled back bar, a dark stone bar top and a deep green-blue tile base that flows down to the floor.

The architecture is supported by thoughtfully crafted spaces designed with purpose and intent, to foster conversations, spontaneous interactions and support with pragmatic touches like bag and coat hooks and finely tuned acoustic performing materials. As with all Chief pied-à-terres, color and texture bring a vibrant and residential vibe throughout the spaces.
