About

In the same spirit as Chief New York and Chief Chicago (both by AvroKO), Chief LA is a modern Pied a Terre meant to serve as a space for women to find supportive connection and empowerment, within a bright, airy space true to its LA locale.

Chief LA boasts tall ceilings and a lush outdoor courtyard at the heart of the site. The architecture utilizes a light and subtle color palette, with off-white walls, and natural light oak planks for the ceilings. Surprise moments of colored walls appear throughout the space as design accents, and to create intimacy within the tall architectural volume. A mix of design-forward furniture, vintage pieces and art features evoke a worldly aesthetic and provide softness and richness to the neutral-toned architectural shell.

The architecture at Chief LA creates spacious and airy rooms meant to spark discussion and collaboration. A number of the rooms feature three-paneled bay windows which are framed with custom striped linen drapery. Larger meeting rooms offer flexibility to be combined via operable folding walls. Colorful velvet chairs contrast and complement the more reserved, light paint tones, and large natural wood conference tables on abstract rugs help to soften the space.

Intimate Spaces

Centered north of the main lounge is the cocktail bar, framed by a tall glass and black metal storefront. The bar mimics the warmth of the furnishings of the main lounge, with a fully-upholstered fascia and counter top with a specialty cognac-toned leather. A large antique-mirror serves as a backdrop, and is flanked by large windows and velvet floor-length drapery. Custom curved banquettes embrace the sides of the cocktail bar room, and a custom chandelier drops from above providing a soft warm glow.
