About
Bringing an icon back to life, Imperial Western Brewing Company's space is rich with history.
Home to a Harvey House restaurant from 1939-1967, the popular Fred Harvey chain of passenger-rail-adjacent eateries, the lively drinking hall and onsite brewery breathed new life into the original Mary Colter-designed Spanish Revival Art Deco architecture of LA's Union Station after more than 50 years.

Art Deco Details
The Streamliner Lounge
The adjacent Streamliner Lounge, named after the original Transcontinental train, provides an intimate, nocturnal cocktail space showcasing the Art Deco detailing popularized by the golden era of train travel.
Open Gallery
Navajo-inspired details, especially in the tiling on the floor and ceiling, anchor the design in its Spanish Revivalist roots.
Celebrating Historic Spanish Revival
The bones of the building were meticulously restored to showcase the beauty of the Spanish Revival structure, complete with newly cleaned detailed tile and paint patterns. New custom furniture and lighting was inspired by geometries and forms found in the original dining hall, respecting the originally restored pieces, but adding a new layer into the space. The bar was kept in its original location, whilst a new custom chandelier was designed referencing the long, linking rhythms of train cars.
