The Subway as the Heart & Soul

The New York City subway system has always served as the city's beating heart. Getting residents and tourists alike from place to place, its iconic design inspired the design of the lower-level dining room.

The dining and bar area are separated by a glossy blush banquette that anchor the space. Green table lamps are inspired by old New York subway entrance lighting. More intimate groups of seating are shaped by metal mesh screening. The back bar is dramatically backlit and features leather, mirror and metal screen. The bar die is clad with terrazzo, brushed brass trims and dark turquoise leather panels. A green and light teal terrazzo floor with a geometric pattern and metal inlay that connects all the columns was influenced by the urban planning of New York City.

Art Deco New York

Featuring fluted columns that include custom integrated lighting fixtures, and new white oak parquet floors inspired by Art Deco patterns, vintage New York takes center stage. Four back-to-back green velvet and leather banquettes - with incorporated beverage trays that seamlessly transform to ice buckets with green marble tops - anchor the middle of the dining room. Overhead, a chandelier made of glass globes, stone spheres and brass draws focus.

Look Up

The coffered ceilings are arguably the star of the show featuring Art Deco stepped brass lighting fixtures that cast a warm glow over the dining room.

First Impressions

Vibrant upholstery walls and shelves of old New York curios welcome guests to the restaurant. A staircase ascends to another level of dining, visually connected to the floor below by a two-story high antique v-groove mirror and a extensive chandelier inspired by Art Deco stained glass patterns.

Lighting Addiction

Bespoke sconces and table lamps, a warm glow emanating from the ceiling, and bathroom illumination are all thoughtfully considered to contribute to a guest's comfortable experience wherever they find themselves in the space.
