Clayton Members Club & Hotel is a sophisticated, bespoke and distinct property located in the bustling Cherry Creek neighborhood of Denver.
Clayton offers a relaxed and warm environment that offers a fresh spin on an old hospitality typology, while providing their audience with an unexpected and discoverable experience. Central to the vibe at Clayton is that the ‘soul’ of Denver is percolated throughout the design. California meets Denver in many of the architectural clean lines and linear planes. A sense of modernism is low slung and layered, and imbued with a warmth & ease. The inspiration of the Colorado Strata is steeped in the majesty of the the rich Colorado topography forged by mountains and rivers, layers of sediment & stone. This stratified and stepped vision informs much of the interior elements & is a common thread throughout much of the custom light designs, graphic elements and furniture selections. The Gold Rush and the deep mineralogical wealth of the region is another driving point of view. Inspired by minerals and gold both in their raw and refined states, the glint and sparkle as well as the rough facets of these elements make appearances throughout the property.

The history of the gold rush and Colorado's rich mineral history makes appearances exemplified by the sparkle of brushed brass and stone throughout. This design concept is bolstered through the warm furniture palette as well as textural carpets and abstract, landscape-inspired touches.

Bespoke FF&E
The Colorado gold rush and the deep mineralogical wealth of the region inspires the glint and sparkle of the custom chandelier. Denver Modernism, with its strong linear elements and parallel layers of material, create a play of simple forms exemplified in the verticality of the custom lighting. Taking cues from the mid-century approach, simple straight lines and clean, curved corners create a fresh language for the well-crafted seating.

Guestrooms
A warm and bright palette sets the mood for the guestrooms, using the contrast in light oak woods and dark petroleum-blue accents throughout to keep the space modern. The architectural finishes and furniture stay clean and fairly simple while the carpet grounds the room with a deep tone organic pattern with hints of gold, inspired by the Colorado river.
The entry experience in the guestroom has been reimagined with a stylish custom vanity on one side and a fluted glass door on the other.
Members Club & Bar
Seamlessly connected to both the Dining Parlor and the Sunroom Parlor, the Bar Parlor resides in the middle. It provides the perfect spot for social networking. The bar is the central feature of the space detailed with fluted glass, tambour and brass as the main materials, giving it a layered and sophisticated look.
Set in a backdrop of deep blues and a skylight to bring in natural light; comfortable, well-crafted seating was paired with vintage lighting selections.
The stepped Colorado topography informs the interior forms, custom lighting designs, graphic elements and furniture selections.
