About

Taking inspiration directly from the storied New York original, the Bangkok installment of Waldorf Astoria retains a distinct Art Deco vibe juxtaposed with the pattern, materiality and vibrance of Thai Lanna Culture.
AvroKO crafted the topmost three floors of the hotel including a reinterpretation of the NYC icon Bull and Bear Restaurant, and The Loft and Champagne Bar, a two-level cocktail lounge and event space, all interconnected by a dramatic three-story grand staircase.

The Champagne Bar

Gorgeous local textiles, intricate hand craft and detailing that exemplifies the true nature of Thailand lives in harmony with the Art Deco strength of the Waldorf brand. This balance and duality creates a wonderful tension and forges the foundation for the crown jewel of this property.
Intricate, lyrical metal screens are mounted to custom art storage cabinets and feature rose gold detailing creating a soft yet sculpted design moment.

Ceremonial Maximalism

At left, a standout art feature on level 57 greets guests at the foot of the stairs. Patrons are invited to depress the center-most component of this bejeweled work; a hidden button which activates the sliding door granting access to the Loft. At right, a detail of the peacock motif perforated metal ceiling over the Champagne Bar.
